9 Feb, 2009 - Prof. Jean-Luc Wolfender of the University of Geneva provides an update of his research results in the arena of plant metabolomics. Professor Wolfender is affiliated with the Laboratory of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Geneva, and has won both the Egon Stahl award (Society for Medicinal Plant research) and the International award of the Belgian Society of Pharmaceutical Sciences. His primary work involves new methodologies for studying metabolic variations induced by stress or genetic modifications in plants, and specifically the search for new signaling molecules using A. thaliana as a model. Professor Wolfender has been a CapNMR probe user since 2004.
