CapNMR Data on 1% 2-ethyl-1-indanone: 1D & 2D NMR
Important Note: These are examples from a single working system; pulse width, power level, and other parameters
Analyte: 2-ethyl-1-indanone
FW: 160.21 g/mol
Density: 1.038 g/mL
Sample: 1% 2-ethyl-1-indanone in deuterated chloroform
Total Sample Volume: 5 µL
Total Analyte Mass: 51.9 µg (0.32 µmol)
Sample Entry: Direct manual injection
For a high-mass analysis, please see our 519 µg (10%) 2-ethyl-1-indanone dataset.
Injection Method
A Hamilton Gastight 25-µL syringe was filled with clean CDCl3 solvent and used to rinse the probe. Then, 5-µL of 10% 2-ethyl-1-indanone (519 µg; 3.2 µmol; v/v in CDCl3) was drawn into the syringe and injected into the probe. Using the same syringe, 12 µL of clean CDCl3 was picked up and injected into the probe to push the 5-µL sample into the NMR flow cell of the CapNMR probe. The 12-µL Push Volume was calibrated in advance of sample injection.

All of the data was processed with ACD Labs SpecManager (Version. 9.0). For more information on ACD Labs and their processing and structure confirmation software, please see www.ACDLabs.com. All of the data was acquired on a Varian Inova console running Varian VnmrJ 2.1B software on a Unix workstation. A 600 MHz Oxford unshielded magnet was employed. (For more information on the Varian system, see http://www.varianinc.com/
